Strange Bedfellows – OWS Movement

Editorial Note – SUA commends the fine work of Andrew Breitbart and his dedicated staff. We thought you may like to read this article and others posted here for your edification. The very real associations you do not hear about on the main stream media outlets is crucial to understanding what is really happening and why. It is, as we have reported many times, a very interesting confluence of events and disparate peoples, protesting the wrong source of their pain.

The fact that the protesters assailing Wall Street for their “greediness” today are the same types that voted Obama into office, with the aid of the greatest amount of donations on record from the very same Wall Street bankers and brokers. Rather, their arguments should be directed at the people who let them down, the Obama Administration and its economic policy failures, pay-to-play scams, associations with ulterior motives, and utter ineptitude. Strange bedfellows…confused? Read on:

The Email Archive of the #OccupyWallStreet Movement: Anarchists, Socialists, Unions, Democrats and Their Plans

by Thomas Ryan

Big Government

On August 10, 2011, the hacker group “Anonymous” announced that it would join the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations. That’s what sparked my interest in monitoring #OccupyWallStreet.

I reached out to a colleague and asked if he would be interested in studying the protest with me. At first, it seemed disorganized, and we believed it would only be a few hundred protestors.

As we engaged in monitoring its growth, we recruited other people to help us begin the collection of data available via social media. We began mapping out key players, and monitored Anonymous’s efforts to organize protests in the San Francisco Bay area public transportation system (#opBART) in order to detect patterns and key influencers.

Then, at the end of August, we were alerted by a fellow researcher that information about USDoR (U.S. Day of Rage, to which Occupy Wall Street is connected) had been posted on Shamuk and Al-Jahad, two Al-Qaeda recruitment sites. We began to take the “Occupy” protest more seriously, and dedicated more time to research and monitoring.

Days later, Anonymous announced that it would be releasing its new DDOS (Distributed Denial of Service) tool. Because of the Al-Qaeda posting, we contacted the New York Field Office of the FBI so they could investigate the potential threat. From that point on, we decided we needed to include the Human Element of Intelligence (HUMINT), and to infiltrate the protestors to map their ties to Anonymous, and to the postings on Shamuk and Al-Jahad.

A few of us had attended several of the pre-protest meet-ups and training classes. The Civil Disobedience training was taught by Elliot “Smokey” Madison, a New York-based anarchist who is a member of the People’s Law Collective, a voluntary group that advises protesters on legal issues arising from their actions. The Media training was taught by Vlad Teichberg, a New York based anarchist who is a member of the Glass Bead Collective, an artistic activist group.

After attending these meetings and socializing with those present, several of our team members were added to all the mailing lists of the “Occupy” group. That is how we created the email archive that we are sharing with you (see below). In addition to the involvement of socialists, anarchists, and other radicals, the emails also reveal heavy union involvement from the beginning of the “Occupy” movement, as well as discussion about the role of the Democratic Party, and how the movement should respond to President Barack Obama.

The emails also reveal that the Occupation attempted to provoke the New York Police Department prior to some of the clashes that occurred with activists.

Additionally, the emails reveal the many failed efforts of the hacker collective Anonymous. If those efforts had succeeded, they may have damaged the global economy.

Some examples are:

  • #opLightHouse (FAILED) using NYC Subways to create FlashMobs and havoc through the city on Sept 17, 2011: see here.
  • #RefRef Denial of Service tool release (FAILED) meant to crash banks and NYSE, but the tool was never released: see here.
  • September 20th FAILED attacks against NYSE, NYPD, NYC.GOV, NYPD Retirees, Federal Reserve: see here.
  • #DayOfVengence (Sept 27th) (FAILED) because FBI arrested the operation leader CommanderX prior to the attack: see here.

We are sharing the email archive because we believe the public needs to know the hidden agendas behind the Occupation–the socialist, anarchist, and other agendas that have not been reported in the mainstream media.

Obama Empathizes with the OWC

Editor’s Note – Class warfare, manifest even further from what is a most derisive campaign well underway now, as Obama not so subtly elevated the OWC efforts into legitimacy. With public and private sector unions joining the cause, we have the makings of a new way to skew our election process, this time, with junk-economics and class warfare. The person who ran on the key principle of re-uniting a very polarized nation in 2008 as he explained, has done the opposite; its now more polarized than at any time in our history. He accused George Bush of doing what he is now doing on steroids.

At SUA, we have a very real ax to grind with the banking/financial and stock world, yet it is strange to see the current administration attacking the very people that financed his way into the Oval Office. The Democrats (Read Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Dick Durbin) forced banks to provide funding to those who could not afford to purchase a home, and now we are at a new low in the percentage of people who actually own the homes they are in because the bubble they created burst and the fall-out is not over by a long shot. Now the Dodd/Frank Bill, and specifically the Durbin Amendment is being blamed for the banks increasing fees.

It is obvious to us that this administration knows its constituencies of support very well and knows exactly how to manipulate and motivate them. What comes out of Obama’s mouth is often diametrically opposed to what he means. He assails the fat-cats of Wall Street, as if they are polemically all Republicans, yet the opposite is true. He bites the hand that feeds him, because this may be the only way he can keep the keys to the White House for another four years.

Obama Voices Empathy With ‘Frustration’ Behind Anti-Wall Street Protests

Fox News

Three weeks into a growing protest movement targeting Wall Street and the nation’s financial services sector, President Obama expressed empathy Thursday for the demonstrators, even going so far as to elevate them as a force in the 2012 election cycle.

“I think part of people’s frustrations, part of my frustration, was a lot of [lending] practices that should not have been allowed weren’t necessarily against the law, but they had a huge destructive impact,” the president said at a midday news conference Thursday.

The protesters, he added, “are giving voice to a more broad-based frustration about how our financial system works…and that’s going to express itself politically in 2012 and beyond.”

The remarks represented Obama’s first public comment on the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, which is now in its third week, and has led to more than 700 arrests in New York and elsewhere.

As the president spoke to reporters in the East Room, more than 1,000 anti-corporate protesters were gathering, less than a mile away, at Washington’s downtown Freedom Plaza. Waving placards and chanting slogans, the group marched to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – to protest the organization’s support of the Obama administration’s jobs plan – then moved on to K Street, the hub of lobbying and law firms that is the capital’s pinstriped cousin to Wall Street.

The action in Washington had been planned months in advance, said organizers with the October 2011 Coalition, and enjoyed no formal ties with the Occupy Wall Street movement. But it was clear the two groups largely share the same goals, tactics and fervor.

Obama, in remarks on the protests that extended to nearly 10 minutes, refrained from rebuking those arrested or mounting any defense of Wall Street. Instead, he further criticized bankers and lenders.

“We had the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression, huge collateral damage all throughout the country, all across Main Street,” the president told reporters, “and yet you’re still seeing some of the same folks who acted irresponsibly trying to fight efforts to crack down on abusive practices that got us into this problem in the first place.”

The closest Obama came to defending Wall Street was when he added: “I have said before, and I will continue to repeat: We have to have a strong, effective financial sector in order for us to grow.”

In her own, weekly news conference, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., went even further, praising the Occupy Wall Street crowds for their youth, focus, and effectiveness. “God bless their spontaneity,” she said.

But Rep. Peter King , R-N.Y., who sits on the House Financial Services Committee, blasted President Obama for siding with the protesters.

“What they’re doing is disgraceful,” King said in an interview with Fox News. “They should be denounced; they’re breaking the law; they’re serving no real purpose at all….And for the president or anyone else to give them any credence or credibility is also irresponsible.”

Asked by the liberal website Slate.com if he sees the Occupy Wall Street protests as helpful in moving the president’s jobs bill through Congress, White House Chief of Staff William Daley — a former executive at J.P. Morgan Chase, one of Wall Street’s most prominent investment houses — proved more circumspect than his boss.

“I don’t know,” Daley said.

Fox News’ Joy Lin, Steve Centanni, and Chad Pergram contributed to this report.

“Anonymous” to attack Wall St. to support “Occupy Protesters”

Editor’s Note– Having suffered at the hands of the hacker group “Anonymous”, here at our web site for SUA; we were part of their last major hacking event, and we know they mean what they say, and say what they mean. They are world-class hackers, do not kid yourself, and they are likely well ‘planted’ in how they are going to support the “Occupy Wall Street” thugs. They plan on taking down part of our financial engine, in this case, Monday, the stock market is slated for attack.

Monday attack threatened on Stock Market

As editor at SUA, I can assure you, these threats are taken very seriously, and I am also sure that there are thousands of man-hours involved in dealing with such threats and attacks. Every time the ‘good guys’ fix their latest attack fall-out, these reprobates are already focused on the next attack, and the one after that, and again after that…

Prepare now…its never too late! But, maybe, its all part of an orchestrated, cascading event, a “fire-sale” they seek to inflict on world order, no matter what you think of it. They gin up the know-nothings to mob the system, foment discontent, and create havoc for havoc’s sake. Most don’t even know why they are at these events, but they know its “FUN” to ‘dis ‘da man, to harken back a few years.

Hacker Group Anonymous Threatens to Attack Stock Exchange

By Perry Chiaramonte & Jana Winter

Fox News

The FBI is investigating threats purportedly from the hacking collective that calls itself Anonymous to bring down the New York Stock Exchange on Monday by hacking into its computer system.

Members of the notorious hacker group appear to be threatening to bring the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York to a dangerous new level, sounding a call to “declare war on the New York Stock Exchange” on Monday by “erasing” it from the Internet.

“The FBI is aware of these schemes and threats and is looking into the matter,” FBI spokesman Tim Flannelly told FoxNews.com.

The hackers say they plan to launch a DDoS (or distributed denial of service) attack on the NYSE’s computer systems — the same type of computer attack that brought down numerous websites last Spring, making them inaccessible.

Anonymous has also separately declared the Stock Exchange announcement a hoax, and it remains unclear whether this is an official effort by Anonymous, a group of rogue hackers or someone else entirely.

Either way, the FBI is investigating.

“It is a crime to show the intent to carry out a hack when you are in possession of software or computer applications to do so and we take it seriously,” FBI spokesman Flannelly said.

In one of the videos, which was addressed to the media, a narrator states, “We can no longer stay silent as the population is being exploited and forced to make sacrifices in the name of profit. We will show the world that we are true to our word. On October 10, NYSE shall be erased from the Internet … expect a day that will never, ever, be forgotten.”

In a video addressed to the public, the narrator states, “We are the 99 percent. You have complained that something needs to be done. You now have an opportunity to make a difference. Join the protests. Organize your own. Watch online. Be a part of the movement.”

A digital flier has circulated online with the banner “Operation Invade Wall Street: This is not an occupation. This is an invasion,” and instructions how to participate in “three simple steps.”

It provides a link to download a program to participate as well as the URL for the Stock Exchange (www.nyse.com) and the date and time, October 10th at 3:30 p.m., to attack.

Would-be participants are also urged to “spread the F—– word.”

Still, other Anonymous representatives denied the plans.

A second letter has been posted online, also with Anonymous on the masthead, that references rumors of the planned attack and disclaims the group’s association:

“We have taken notice to a planned attack which has been named #InvadeWallStreet …We strongly advise against this action and everything it entails to,” the letter says.

“We do not want history to repeat itself, and are sincerely worried,” the letter adds, referencing past attacks on Visa, Paypal, and Mastercard after they refused to accept transactions for payment to WikiLeaks.

Some have taken to Twitter, claiming the DDoS threat is a hoax, or even a setup.

“Smells like a trap! Don’t participate,” said one tweet with the hashtag #invadewallstreet.

“HOAX: #invadewallstreet is not a valid OP. Beware of provocateurs!!!” said another posting.
