Hillary Clinton’s “there’s no evidence of that” line of defense over her email mess continues to crumble in the face of . . . new evidence.
For all her talk of how using a private email account for her work running the State Department was just fine, it’s now plain she left top-secret information vulnerable to hackers.
More evidence is likely to come out. The FBI’s probe has now expanded to include another private server she used, a backup service with Connecticut-based Datto Inc.
And now the Associated Press has confirmed that her main server was the target of repeated cyberattacks from China, South Korea and Germany. And those came after she left office, when her team belatedly agreed to use some threat-monitoring software.
In other news, a FOIA request from the watchdog group Citizens United has uncovered the fact that Hill’s chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, was forwarding classified info to the Clinton Foundation — so staff there could support Bill Clinton’s work in Africa.
Add to this new details about Hillary’s emails with longtime aide Sidney Blumenthal — emails that somehow didn’t make it into the data she finally handed over once word broke that she’d failed to share her work product with the government.
Her extensive communications with him include the naming of a CIA source (obviously classified) as he pushed for action in Libya — action that would benefit his clients.
“It is curious Secretary Clinton took so much of her advice from someone who had never been to Libya, professed no independent knowledge of the country and who the White House blocked her from hiring,” said Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), who heads the select committee trying to finally get to the full facts on the deadly Benghazi attack.
Curious? Hey, in Clintonworld, blending policy with pocket-lining is routine — national security be damned.
Editor’s Note – Just as people like Ed Klein write about how guilty Hillary is and that her advisors are telling her to secure the services of a criminal defense attorney, someone on the right steps on his own tongue and gives her the perfect foil to change the subject. Of course we all know that if it were not for the Select Committee’s fine work to date we may never have known about Hillary Clinton’s illegal email scandal.
Of course we do say illegal because it has been proven over and over but the vast population of America does not have the time to pay close attention to her lies and twisting stories. She depends upon keeping people in the dark, relying on short attention spans and memories with all her twists and turns, all the lies. Now she is pushing the new meme that she hopes will sweep the nation – that the Select Committee on Benghazi was always a political hit job and McCarthy’s statements prove it.
She has already come out and uses the fact that four Americans are dead and the Republicans are using them for political gain smear, all when clear minded people know she is the one responsible for their deaths. On the morning talk shows she said the following:
“Look at the situation they chose to exploit, to go after me for political reasons: the death of four Americans in Benghazi,” Clinton said. “I knew the ambassador. I identified him. I asked him to go there. I asked the president to nominate him.” (Business Insider)
All we will hear from now on from her campaign will be Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s name because of his gaffe. Hillary and team will push her age old meme that there is a vast right wing conspiracy that has been trying to take her and her husband down all these years.
Those of us who follow her closely like Ed Klein does know full well that the whole Clinton schtick has always been a RICO act. Normally a shtick is a comedy routine, but the one left laughing last laughs best and that could be Hillary surviving yet another scandal that would have meant a long term stay behind bars for the regular American thanks to a man who aspires to be the new Speaker of the House.
McCarthy may have been taken out of context, but in his zeal he just could not help himself assail Hillary in decline. Many think he is a Boehner clone and if conservative Americans allow him to be the next leader, we should all think of the Who’s ‘song lyrics, “here’s the boss, same as the old boss”. America, ‘don’t be fooled again’, push for Jason Chaffetz to be the next Speaker. Call your congressman today, but even Jason thinks it may be too late!
The usual suspects are now joining Hillary in a ‘form of righteous indignation’. Media Matters is already pushing a petition to force an ethics investigation into the select committee while the FBI is actually doing a criminal investigation on Clinton. The left does not seek truth, only power – at any cost. They know a gift when they see one and are exploiting it in grand fashion already.
We can only hope that the rule-of-law trumps the Clinton RICO machine and their connections in the DOJ are overcome by the severity and extent of her illegal ways. Ethics investigation? That is rich, just like the Clintons.
Ed Klein: Hillary Adviser Warning Her to ‘Lawyer Up’
Email scandal-plagued Hillary Clinton is reportedly getting some ominous advice from a longtime and trusted legal adviser: Lawyer-up. Edward Klein, author of “Unlikeable: The Problem with Hillary,” writes on his website.
The unnamed confidante suggests Clinton hire a criminal defense lawyer in case she’s indicted for mishandling classified documents on her private email server, and for allegedly lying under oath.
“This e-mail thing is spiraling out of control,” the Clinton adviser tells Klein. “To paraphrase John Dean of Watergate fame, it’s a cancer on her candidacy. Frankly, I am used to my advice on legal matters being taken very seriously and acted upon by the Clintons.”
“I’ve told them repeatedly that this FBI e-mail investigation could go in a very dangerous direction very quickly,” he adds, according to Klein. “But Hillary is still acting as though it’s a political smear job by right-wing zealots.”
The adviser tells Klein that Justice Department prosecutors expect the FBI probe on the case to wrap up as soon as the end of this year.
“Hillary needs to secure the services of an expert legal counsel—preferably a big-league defense attorney from the Republican side of the aisle,” the adviser tells Klein. “She needs someone to find out whether the FBI and Justice Department are likely to conclude that she’s violated federal laws governing national security.”
He also notes joking about the issue hasn’t helped her case. “By joking about her email problem and treating it like a PR issue, she’s only hurting herself, maybe mortally, with the prosecutors,” Klein quotes the adviser saying. “Insulting career FBI and Justice Department investigators is a very bad and ill-advised strategy. You don’t want to be blindsided.
And if you ignore it, pretend it is a partisan ploy, and act scornfully, it will blindside you.”
“There is going to be blood in the water,” the adviser warns. “The investigators are looking for weak links to get to the bottom of what went on with Hillary’s national security emails. And I’m afraid they will find it.”
Editor’s Note – Last night we heard that the FBI was able to recover emails from Hillary Clinton’s server and now some on the left are calling for her head and noted columnist and talking head Ron Fournier lists the reason below.
In addition, even the State Department is challenging Hillary’s many excuses, most notably on the chain of events leading to her turning over the so-called non-private ones. Her story is so frought with lies and distractions it makes the head spin:
Hillary Rodham Clinton has described her decision last year to turn over thousands of work-related e-mails as a response to a routine-sounding records request.
“When we were asked to help the State Department make sure they had everything from other secretaries of state, not just me, I’m the one who said, ‘Okay, great, I will go through them again,’ ” Clinton said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” “And we provided all of them.”
But State Department officials provided new information Tuesday that undercuts Clinton’s characterization. They said the request was not simply about general record-keeping but was prompted entirely by the discovery that Clinton had exclusively used a private e-mail system. They also said they first contacted her in the summer of 2014, at least three months before the agency asked Clinton and three of her predecessors to provide their e-mails.
It’s not just why and when they were turned over, it is also how. Remember, she had them printed out, thus hiding the meta-data and slowing down the search process. In any other criminal case, that is clearly obstruction of justice – 30,000 times. But we want to take Ron Fournier’s article one step further, like prison further.
If the Democratic Party cares to salvage a sliver of moral authority, its leaders and early state voters need to send Hillary Rodham Clinton an urgent message: Come clean or get out. Stop lying and deflecting about how and why you stashed State Department email on a secret server—or stop running.
Tell her: We can’t have another day like this:
Story 1: The State Department confirmed that Clinton turned over her email only after Congress discovered that she had exclusively used a private email system. According to TheWashington Post, the department first contacted her in the summer of 2014, at least three months before the agency asked Clinton and three of her predecessors to provide their emails.
The story undercuts Clinton’s claim that her decision to turn over self-selected email was a response to a routine-sounding records request. She hasn’t been telling the truth.
Story 2: A federal court has helped uncover more emails related to the Benghazi raid that were withheld from congressional investigators. Clinton has insisted she turned over all her work-related email and complied with congressional subpoenas.
Again, she hasn’t been telling the truth.
Story 3: The FBI has recovered personal and work-related e-mails from her private server, raising the possibility that the deleted information becomes public. “The FBI is investigating how and why classified information ended up on Clinton’s server,” Bloomberg reported.
While the Democratic front-runner still insists there was no classified information on the unsecured server, the FBI has moved beyond whether U.S. secrets were involved to how and why. In the language of law enforcement, the FBI is investigating her motive.
On Sunday, Clinton told Face the Nation host John Dickerson: “What I did was allowed. It was fully above board,” and “I tried to be fully transparent.” Both claims are objectively and indisputably false.
From the moment this story broke in March, senior Democrats told me they were worried about where the questions would lead. Several said they feared what the emails might show about the intersection of Clinton’s work at the State Department and the family’s private foundation.
One Clinton loyalist, a credible source who I’ve known for years, told me, “The emails are a related but secondary scandal. Follow the foundation money.”
That is still speculation. But months of dishonesty and deception took their toll: A majority of Americans don’t trust her, and the Democratic nomination fight has shifted from a coronation to a competition. A poll released today by Bloombergshows Clinton barely leading socialist Bernie Sanders and Vice President Joe Biden, who’s not even in the race.
For Democrats, this is an opportunity wasted. A crowded GOP field has been taken hostage by a celebrity billionaire with a history of bankruptcies, sexist behavior, and racially offensive statements. Lacking a firm grip on policy or the truth, Donald Trump is the GOP front-runner.
His closest competition, Dr. Ben Carson, said Sunday he didn’t think a Muslim should be president, and his efforts to clean up the controversy have been as ham-handed as they are dishonest.
Which brings me back to Clinton. Loyalists argue that her policy agenda speaks to America’s new demography and addresses 21st-century challenges. Even if they’re right, the Clinton team has underestimated the value that voters place on a candidate’s character. One top Clinton adviser told me in the spring, “Trust doesn’t matter.”
Oft-burned Americans understand that a policy agenda is a collection of promises. If they can’t count on Clinton to be honest, they can’t count on her to keep her word about income inequality, jobs, health care, and the environment.
She announced a plan Tuesday to reduce prescription-drug costs, promising to cap monthly out-of-pocket expenses at $250 without curbing profits that fund research into life-saving drugs. Can you believe her?
Overshadowing that news was her long-awaited decision on the Keystone pipeline: Clinton now opposes a project she was once inclined to support at the State Department, a flip-flop that she justified with a rhetorical wave of the hand. “I think it is imperative that we look at the Keystone pipeline as what I believe it is—a distraction from the important work we have to do to combat climate change.”
A distraction from the important work. That could be her campaign slogan.
Editor’s Note – James O’Keefe and his Project Veritas team were in Bigfork, Montana speaking at MG Vallely’s Glacier Forum series, a Stand Up America US project on Thursday, September 10th and brought the house down revealing his latest undercover work released earlier.
Staying at the General’s home, O’Keefe explained how Project Veritas succeeded in exposing what looks to be fraud in the Hillary Clinton campaign in Nevada.
O’Keefe gave an exclusive interview to Breibart today from the Vallely home and confirmed that Christina Gupana is already being investigated by the state of Nevada.
Top election officials in the state of Nevada are investigating the Hillary Clinton campaign official who was snared in the latest James O’Keefe video, Breitbart News has exclusively learned.
Nevada attorney Christina Gupana, who is managing voter-registration efforts for the Clinton campaign in the key state of Nevada, was the unwitting star of O’Keefe’s undercover sting video this week. Gupana was caught on film apparently conspiring to violate election laws. (Read the rest at Breibart)
Jim Wheeler, a Republican Nevada Assemblyman told SUA that “It seems like some people in the Democratic Party will do whatever it takes to win. Even break the law. This should tell you something about their motives.”
Nevada is a crucial State because it is one of the earlier caucus/primary states, with its Closed Democratic Caucus scheduled for February 20, 2016; only 19 days after the Semi-Open Iowa Caucus, and less than two weeks after the New Hampshire Semi- Open Primary.
It is also only a week before the South Carolina Open Primary. 39 Democrat Party delegates are at stake in Nevada.
With the Clinton Campaign fast approaching a must-win situation with poll numbers dropping for Hillary, it seems Assemblyman Wheeler is spot on.
O’Keefe Strikes Again: Undercover Video Purports to Show Hillary Clinton Campaign Violating Election Law
An undercover video published Thursday by James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas purports to show Nevada-based Hillary Clinton campaign staffers and volunteers ignoring and knowingly violating Nevada’s voter registration laws.
Moreover, the video appears to show that this conduct is being condoned and encouraged by a local attorney who works for the Clinton campaign.
According to the video, it is a felony in the state of Nevada for anyone involved in the voter registration process to “solicit a vote for or against a particular question or candidate; speak to a voter on the subject of marking his or her ballot for or against a particular question or candidate.”
The video appears to show that numerous Hillary Clinton campaign staffers are well aware of the law.
Nevertheless, the video shows them laughing at the law and repeatedly bragging about violating it by promoting Hillary Clinton verbally and with campaign literature as they attempt to register potential voters.
The Project Veritas video further appears to show that the Clinton campaign staff solicits voter registration in close proximity to state offices, which may also violate Nevada law
According to the video, when the attorney in question, identified as Christina Gupana, was told about this alleged lawbreaking, she advised the staffers to, “Do whatever you can. Whatever you can get away with, just do it, until you get kicked out like totally.”
More than one staffer says that the campaign’s motto towards these laws is “Ask for forgiveness, not for permission.”
Editor’s Note – The once seemingly inevitable Democrat Party nominee now appears more like a meteor burning through the atmosphere on the way to an impact of epic proportions if the shoes keep on dropping over her email lies.
People in New Hampshire are sure seeing it as Bernie Sanders has surpassed in her in the polls for the first in the nation primary state. Additionally, it appears America in general is catching on finally as well as another poll, this one nationally, shows that Trump would now beat Clinton by as much as five percentage points as well.
It is encouraging to see that people are taking notice, we just wondered why it took so long. In our opinion, Hillary Clinton should have been indicted long ago and been declared unfit to even run for any office.
He fears he will be indicted for having access to such secret material and likely fears Clinton’s wrath as much as going to prison so he has declared he will not cooperate with the investigation nor Congress and would plead the fifth – very damning indeed!.
Another week of embarrassing shoes dropping for Hillary
Team Hillary keeps insisting there’s nothing to that whole e-mail embarrassment — even as the shoes keep dropping.
Three in just the past week.
First came news that Hillary Clinton’s private e-mails included highly classified information on North Korea’s nuclear-weapons stockpile.
That comes from multiple intelligence sources speaking on the condition of anonymity to The Washington Times. The nuke info apparently came from the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, a highly classified satellite and mapping system.
Such info is automatically classified at the very highest level, even when not so labeled — and knowing that rule is part of the secretary of state’s job.
So much for Clinton’s repeated claims that she didn’t know she was putting secrets at risk via her own personal e-mail server.
Also on the faux-innocence front: Clinton aide Bryan Pagliano, who helped set up and maintain the private server, says he won’t cooperate with the FBI, the State Department inspector general’s office or the congressional Benghazi committee that uncovered the private-e-mail issue in the first place — invoking his Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate himself.
He has every legal right to do so, but it sure . . . looks . . . bad. After all, Team Hillary keeps insisting it’s eager to cooperate with the investigations.
The cherry on this fetid sundae is the Bloomberg News scoop that the FBI is looking for any signs that hackers breached Clinton’s system — and for clues on whether any hackers were foreign-based.
Oh, there “were no security breaches,” Clinton insisted weeks ago. But how would a woman who jokes about wiping a server “with a cloth” know?
“At the end of the day, I am sorry that this has been confusing to people and has raised a lot of questions, but there are answers to all these questions,” Clinton told Andrea Mitchell on Friday.
Problem is, her answers keep turning out to be incomplete or just plain false.
At this point, almost nothing in Hillary Clinton’s original claims about her use of the private server still stands as even possibly true. Perhaps worse than the lying, though, is her cavalier attitude toward national security — namely, that the rules aren’t for her.
