2 U.S. Homeland Targets Terrorists Would Love to Attack

By Tom Wyld – SUA Contributer

In light of the looming threat posed by Ad-Dawla Al-Islamiyya (“Islamic State”) and the likely existence of sleeper cells in the U.S. homeland, I submit this appraisal, first penned in August 2013, with revisions and updates to reflect today’s threat.

ISIS is already here.

On Sunday night, 21 July 2013 –– dozens of Jihadis stormed the Baghdad Central Prison, previously known as Abu Ghraib.  About 9 suicide bombers and as many as 12 car bombs punched through the hardened perimeter like artillery.

The explosions were followed by streams of Jihadi gunmen.   A simultaneous strike was mounted on a jail in nearby Taji, likely a diversion, a terror trademark.

The massive July 2013 raids were the work of Al Qaeda in Iraq, precursor to today’s Ad-Dawla Al-Islamiyya (“Islamic State” or IS).

The White House refers to IS as ISIL or ISIS, names the group abandoned earlier this year.  The older terms conjure a group whose designs are limited, regional – Iraq, Syria, the Levant.

Their use by the Administration is likely intentional to minimize a threat that is increasingly global.

Significantly, last year’s 21 July raids occurred one year to the day after Al Qaeda in Iraq announced its “Demolition of the Walls” campaign designed to free imprisoned Jihadis.

Then as now, terrorists keep their word and pursue their uppermost goals with diligence and “long-breathing” (patience).

Flying the banner of the Islamic State of Iraq and Ash-Sham (ISIS), the terror army handily replenished its ranks by freeing at least 600 Al Qaeda fighters that night, but these were no mere foot soldiers.

An Iraqi MP said most were senior, combat-hardened terror leaders who faced execution.

Virtually all were captured during the 2007 Iraq surge under President George W. Bush.

Al Qaeda not only overwhelmed and totally controlled the battle space; it transformed the prison break into a celebration:  A source told me ISIS/AQI broadcast by megaphone the names of inmates before springing them from their cells.

The July 2013 jailbreaks and a wave of others swelled militant ranks by the hundreds if not thousands. They prompted the Obama administration to shutter consular offices in 19 countries, from militant-riddled Mauritania in West Africa to the relatively placid and prosperous Mauritius in the Indian Ocean.

I believe the footfalls of soldiers can be foretold by profiling their generals.  Militants’ public rhetoric reveals aspirations that suggest threats beyond American icons and aircraft.  All we need do is pay attention.

December 2010.  In a video titled “Aafia Siddiqui:  Captivity & Subjugation:  Where are the Heroes?” – Al Qaeda Central warrior-theologian Abu Yahya Al-Libi urged young Muslim men to rescue the “Grey Lady of Baghram.”  Convicted in 2010 for shooting soldiers and FBI agents, Siddiqui is serving an 86-year sentence at Federal Medical Center Fort Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.

June 2012.  Ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi campaigned on freeing Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman.  So did every other Islamist candidate for president.  Abdel-Rahman was convicted of seditious conspiracy and imprisoned for life at Federal Medical Center Butner in North Carolina.

Summer 2012.  TheObama administration welcomed an Egyptian delegation that lobbied high-ranking officials at State, the White House and Congress to demand the Blind Sheikh’s release.  In that delegation was Hani Nour Al-Din, a member of Jama’at Al-Islamiya, the designated terrorist group Abdel-Rahman led and helped found.  The administration bent over backwards to allow the terrorist to lobby by issuing him a visa without advising Congress – a violation of federal law that kept Congress in the dark.

October 2012.  Al Qaeda Central Emir Ayman Al-Zawahiri urged Jihadis to kidnap Westerners to trigger the release of Abdel-Rahman and Siddiqui.

January 2013.  Mokhtar Belmokhtar, mastermind of the raid on the Algerian gas plant, offered to release all American hostages in exchange for Abdel-Rahman and Siddiqui.

August 2014.  IS proposed the release of hostages, including slain journalist James Foley, for millions of dollars and the release of “Muslims currently in your detention like our sister Dr. Afia Sidiqqi (sic)…”

The Take-Away.  From Islamist political candidates to Al Qaeda, its affiliates and today’s Islamic State, the release of Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman and “Lady Qaeda” Aafia Siddiqui has been an uppermost priority for years.

The jailbreaks in Iraq proved that the Islamic State was devilishly good at them.  In the past year, the Jihadis have only gotten better.

Benghazi – Brett Baier & the '13 Hours' Heroes

Editor’s Note – 13 hours in Benghazi… Battle truths that cannot be refuted! Lies told and laid bare now… two years later!

How can anyone ever consider Hillary Clinton as Presidential timber ever again? How does Obama and his administration still get away with a campaign expediency of such ill repute?IMG_2894

What difference – at this pointwhat difference does it make?” Well, Brett Baier and Fox News are to be applauded for leading with the story of the “13 Hours,” and we in the real world certainly do appreciate it!

benghazi-book-coverThis is must see TV if there ever was, and only Fox News and we here on the internet have kept it in the forefront.

Where is the MSM now?

We praise and hold dear men like Glen “Bub” Doherty, Tyrone “Rone” Woods, Ambassador Christopher Stephens, and Sean Smith, for they gave the ultimate sacrifice for political expediency and did not even know it.

Now we see that people like Scott Wickland, David Uben, Kris (Tanto) Paronto, Mark (Oz) Geist, John (Tig) Tiegen, and many others deserve our deepest thanks for being the Americans we all cherish and respect.

It is their sacrifice and steadfast loyalty to family, duty, and country that this administration has lacked, yet we hold in the highest regard, where is our leadership now, where was it then!?

What video? “Stand down” orders? Where was the help? Where was that air cover? Where was Obama’s and Clinton’s fidelity, fealty, and oaths to America and her heroes? This was why our founding father’s knew that a President must be a ‘Natural Born’ citizen! Get it now?

We at SUA have no respect for this administration and individually, to name but a few: Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarrett, the main stream media, among many others… and now, ‘after the fact,’ John Kerry, as he continues to help in the cover-up!

Over 6,000 Missing Foreign Students With Visas

Editor’s Note – As the President meets with NATO allies, maybe he will learn what many of the members nations already know, ISIS/ISIL is a direct threat to them and also to America. With many people in America joining them, the fear is they can return home because they have passports.

Perhaps it is not that easy, but it certainly is something to fear.isistshirt

Nareg-Seferian_visa-pictureWhat is more frightening is that hot spots like Minnesota are producing so many home grown converts to violent jihad. What is more frightening than that is our leaky southern border, but it gets worse.

With so many traveling to the US with visas, what is our government doing to track them all? Apparently very little since an estimated 6,000 people with student visas have over stayed and are MISSING!

This is not a “manageable problem” and Obama just does not get it, nor can he bring himself to say the words off prompter. When he speaks from a prompter, his words are different.

This shows us what he really means – off prompter the words are from his core. Therefore he still cannot name the enemy, nor does he believe the threat despite the fact that we all see the danger.

The President is the person who is supposed to know all the intelligence estimates, not us. That is willful dissonance, and we are on our own. This was supposed to be fixed after the 9/11 Commission Report!

US Immigration Fears Terror Threat From 6,000 Missing on Student Visas

By Melanie Batley – Newsmax from ABC News

The Obama administration is unable to locate 6,000 foreign nationals who have entered the United States on student visas, raising concerns about the government’s ability to track potential terror suspects who may already be in the country.

“My greatest concern is that they could be doing anything,” Peter Edge, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement official who oversees investigations into visa violators, told ABC News. “Some of them could be here to do us harm.”

686_alhazmi_almihdhar_visas2050081722-8139The news comes as Prime Minister David Cameron announced plans to block British jihadists with passports from re-entering Britain as the threat of violence from the Islamic State intensifies.

The move builds on a pledge he made Monday to withdraw passports from those within the United Kingdom suspected of having traveled abroad to fight alongside terrorist groups.

According to ABC News, U.S. immigration officials have had difficulty keeping track of the escalating number of foreign students entering the United States.

In the past year alone, 58,000 students overstayed their visas.

“They just disappear,” Oklahoma GOP Sen. Tom Coburn told ABC News. “They get the visas and they disappear.”

Since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, 26 student visa holders have been arrested in the United States on terrorism-related charges, ABC News reported.

The 9/11 Commission had recommended that the student visa program be tightened to combat future threats but the system continues to remain vulnerable to abuse.

There are currently 9,000 institutions of higher learning which are on the government approved list certifying them to accept overseas applicants.United-States-Student-Tourist-Visa-DVD-Cover

But Congress has raised concerns that immigration officials have continued to grant schools certification even when they lack accreditation, state certification, or other measurable academic standards.

“When schools are not legitimate that enables terrorists to come here under a fraudulent basis and disappear into the fabric of society without anybody knowing that they are here for illegitimate reason,” Janice Kephart, counsel to the 9/11 Commission, told ABC News.

“Because the system itself will say they’re here legitimately when in fact they’re not.”

Schools are ultimately responsible for keeping track of visa holders and are required to report to the government if students fail to attend class, but a number of institutions have been more focused on selling visas rather than educating students.

“We know we have a lot of non-accredited universities that are using this system to bring people in, collect money, and not educate them at all,” Coburn said. “To me, it’s a mess.”

Edge said that while immigration agents are attempting to locate missing students, there is “a lot more work to do” to tighten the student visa program, ABC News reported.
