Edwin Jonas III

Edwin R. Jonas III, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a retired trial/corporate attorney turned cattle rancher from Rollins, Montana. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, including as an Intelligence Specialist, in 1968, he returned and finished his Bachelors degree and law degree from Rutgers University and their School of Law.

Having been a part of several corporate success stories as counsel and corporate board member and officer, he continued with community involvement in a number of charitable organizations, lending his advice and enthusiasm to promote their goals.

Ed served as a prosecutor for four years and became a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney in 1988 & recertified in 1995. He also was trained as a pilot receiving his single engine, instrument, commercial and multiengine FAA pilot ratings and was retained by aviation insurance companies to defend air crash cases.

During his practice he also was also an adjunct law professor. After 35 years in the law field, he pursued a new entrepreneurial goal of producing a heart healthy beef known as HighMont Beef at Blacktail Mountain Ranch in Montana.

A father of three sons he lives quietly in the Rocky Mountains on his ranch pursuing the American Dream.
