LtC Dooley – Fired by Dempsey over Muslim demands

Editor’s Note – When the highest ranking military officer in the land is offended by course material in his own command about Islam, the infiltration has become complete. This is the same man who phoned a private citizen who supported the so-called “Innocence of Muhammad” movie trailer and suggested he cool his jets. The Reverend Terry Jones was the recipient of that call. No matter what you think of Jones, who the hell is Dempsey to make any comment about the first amendment to a civilian. Who is in charge here?

It is time to fire Dempsey! He is by far the worst Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff ever – accomplishing that lofty title in just over one year following the retirement of Admiral Mullins, himself an abysmal failure. Obama knows how to pick them – the ones most likely to follow his Islam priorities.

What is worse is that Dempsey cannot even follow military protocol himself - obviously he thinks he is privileged, just as Obama thinks he can do whatever he wants – damn that piece of paper – the Constitution.

Memo that prompted Pentagon to purge ‘Offensive to Islam’ material released

The Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced late last week that it is representing U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Dooley, a 1994 Graduate of the U. S. Military Academy at West Point and released the letter sent by 57 Muslim groups demanding the removal of military instructions that they say is offensive to Islam.

In April 2012, LTC Dooley, a highly decorated combat veteran, was publically condemned by General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and relieved of his teaching assignment because of the negative way Islam was portrayed in an elective course entitled, “Perspectives on Islam and Islamic Radicalism” the release said.

The actions against LTC Dooley, an instructor involved with this elective, follow a letter to the Department of Defense dated October 19, 2011 and finally released and was signed by 57 Muslim organizations, demanding that all training materials that they judge to be offensive to Islam be “purged” and instructors “are effectively disciplined.”

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Law Center commented, “We are privileged to represent Lieutenant Colonel Dooley. He has honorably served his Nation for 18 years and effectively carried out every assigned mission with distinction. He served as Aide- de- Camp to three different General Officers and deployed to Bosnia, Kuwait, and Iraq for a total of six operational and combat tours. During that time, he received numerous awards and decorations. Now after a lifetime of service to his country, he is being sacrificed on the altar of political correctness and expediency by the Army he so loyally served and loves.”

Thompson also stated:

“In order to appease Muslims and the White House, General Dempsey and the Department of Defense rushed to punish LTC Dooley. In the process, they violated not only our Nation’s core principles of free speech and academic freedom guaranteed by our Constitution, but also, a number of the military’s own regulations dealing with academic freedom and non-attribution policies of the National Defense University (NDU) to which LTC Dooley was assigned. They violated the right to due process of law and even by-passed the University’s Provost, who under NDU’s own rules has primary responsibility for adjudication of this matter.”

Some of those 57 Muslim and Arab organizations are the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), noted for their extremism and support of terrorist background; Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), EMERGE-USA, Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), and Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and many are tied to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Although there may be more on the list, backgrounds on some of the named groups above have ties to terrorist organizations.

In regards to EMERGE-USA, the co-founder and spokesman of EMERGE, Khurrum Wahid, has given legal support to what would seem to be a who’s who of accused terrorists in America, including a man who threatened to assassinate President George W. Bush and two South Florida imams who were charged with sending at least $50,000 to the Taliban to murder American troops overseas. As well, Wahid is a former representative of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). In 2011, he landed on a U.S. government terrorist watch list.

The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) is also without controversy in their support of terrorist organization, Hamas and their opposition to Israel, the same goes for CAIR.

Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), ISNA, its key leaders, and its affiliated entities appear to have made few statements regarding terrorism before the events of September 11, 2001 and the statements which were made generally expressed concern that Muslims would be stereotyped and or in some other way victimized as a result. However, there is evidence that ISNA had been providing ideological support for terrorism in areas that the Saudi/Muslim Brotherhood network consider appropriate.

In July 1995, Muzzamil Siddiqi of ISNA made the following comments following an early suicide bombing in Tel Aviv: “In order to eliminate an injustice, [a Muslim] should not do a greater injustice….Islam teaches the use of non-violent methods, such as speaking out and demonstrating. Islam says you have the right to defend yourself, and if you die, this is a blessed death….But not in aggression. This is not very different from other communities, where you are considered a hero if you die defending your country. In religious terminology, you have eternal life, a blessed life. Those who die on the part of justice are alive, and their place is with the Lord, and they receive the highest position because this is the highest honor. But it does not apply to those who die for unrighteousness.”

In further statements regarding LTC Dooley, Thompson said, “This is a threat to our National Security. In effect, our own government is applying Islamic Sharia law to prevent any criticism of Islam. The chill on instruction is already happening at the Joint Forces Command College of the National Defense University, to which LTC Dooley is assigned.”

“Betrayed by his military chain of command, all of whom refused to stand behind their own Academic Freedom and Non-Attribution regulations, LTC Dooley stands alone in his association with what had been previously acceptable methods of educational inquiry. As a result, LTC Dooley, an 18-year Army Officer and combat veteran, has been stripped of his teaching position and is now the subject of a negative evaluation report that threatens to damage his otherwise sterling career.”
